FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment and can be used for high-precision absolute measurements of angular displacements. Accurate reference scale of the converter is formed from 4·n identical segments of four receiving plates, where n is a positive integer equal to the number of poles of the accurate reference scale shifted relative to each other by a value equal to a quarter of the period of the accurate reading scale, and a pair of radially symmetric electrically connected n-th-order areas, which are mirror-arranged on both sides of the rotor plate, and the coarse reference scale is made in the form of a code pseudorandom sequence of electrically connected plates arranged in a mirror manner on both sides of the rotor plate, and 2·n identical receiving plates of stator plate shifted relative to each other by a value which is multiple to half of period of accurate reading scale.

EFFECT: high accuracy of measurements and improved noise-immunity in conditions of electromagnetic interference.
