FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of preparing metal-carbon compositions, which are gold nanoparticles applied to a surface of porous carbon carriers, and that can be used as catalysts for the preparation of N-(phosphonomethyl)-glycine, C3H8NO5P by oxidation of N-substituted-N-(phosphonomethyl)-glycines with hydrogen peroxide. Catalyst is described, which contains 0.5–3 % by weight of gold, which is predominantly in the form of particles 1–2.5 nm in size (the mass fraction of particles larger than 3 nm detected by X-ray diffraction analysis does not exceed a quarter of the total amount of metal applied). Method for the preparation of Au/C catalysts, which consists in the quantitative fixation of gold compounds to the surface of the carbon carrier by their adsorption from alkaline solutions prepared by mixing aqueous solutions of HAuCl4, alkali (Na2CO3) and diaminomonocarboxylic amino acids (lysine, arginine), at room temperature, followed by heating the slurry and removing the weakly adsorbing mother liquor components that do not contain a precious metal, with distilled water, drying and reducing the sample with hydrogen at 150–200 °C.
EFFECT: technical result consists in a high efficiency preparation of N-(phosphonomethyl)-glycine in the synthesis.
