FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to neurology and can be used in diagnostics when interpreting readings of amplitude-integrated electroencephalography in conditions of using sedatives. Performing amplitude-integrated electroencephalography. Restoration of the continuous pattern is assessed: before the sedative preparations are withdrawn by 1 point, after the withdrawal, by 2 points, the absence of recording the continuous pattern at age of 7 days is 3 points. Recurrence of "sleep-wakefulness" cyclicity is assessed: before sedative preparations are canceled 1 point, after withdrawal – 2 points, absence of cyclic "sleep-wakefulness" at age of 7 days – in 3 points. AEEG pattern of the convulsive syndrome is evaluated: if not recorded, score is 1 point, if the first line anticonvulsants are stopped by 2 points, if the first line anticonvulsants are not delivered, score is 3 points. Obtained points are summed up. If the total score is more than 5, a high risk of the unfavorable outcome is detected; the total score of 3 to 5 points shows a favorable outcome.
EFFECT: method provides higher efficiency of interpreting the readings of amplitude-integrated electroencephalography in full-term newborns in a critical condition on the background of sedation, shorter diagnostic time by evaluating the complex of the most significant indicators.
