FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to infectious pathology and resuscitation, and can be used for prediction of development of critical condition encephalopathy (EPCC) in children with infectious diseases. Method involves a complex clinical-anamnestic and neurofunctional examination, carrying out induced somatosensory potentials, in the acute period of the disease, in the absence of neuroinfections and the patient's critical state with cerebral dysfunction requiring artificial pulmonary ventilation, the visual evoked potentials on the outbreak are additionally analyzed. If the cortical potential N2-P2 is less than 6.7 mcV, the risk of developing EPCC in infectious diseases is predicted.
EFFECT: use of the invention enables higher accuracy of early and timely prediction of the clinical course of the disease ensured by the integrated examination and recording of the visual evoked potentials on the outbreak, promotes timely correction of therapy and improvement of disease outcomes.
