FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: method of controlling a process at a production plant for continuous production and/or processing of biopharmaceutical products, a production plant and a computer program for realizing said method. Production plant includes a slave unit and a master unit, where the slave unit is connected to the buffer volume, includes a buffer volume control sensor and an actuator for influencing the buffer volume, and the setting unit includes a product flow transfer device and is a flow rate determining unit. Method includes determining the value of the buffer volume state parameter and the flow rate, transmitting from the control system the set flow rate value in the setting unit to the actuating device, determining an actual value of the buffer volume state parameter and comparing with a predetermined value, calculating command signals and transmitting to the actuators connected in the closed process, where the actuator exerts a reverse action on the sensors for monitoring the buffer volume.

EFFECT: inventions provide for use of different intensities of flow, if necessary with temporarily limited interruption of product flow without direct impact on continuous operation mode of adjacent blocks.
