ULTRAFILTRATION UNIT FOR CONTINUOUS BUFFER OR MEDIA REPLACEMENT FROM PROTEIN SOLUTION Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC B01D61/24 B01D61/32 B01D61/28 B01D61/58

Abstract RU 2676639 C2

FIELD: separation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an ultrafiltration unit for continuous replacement of a buffer solution or medium, a method for continuously replacing a buffer solution or a medium in said ultrafiltration unit, and an apparatus, in particular, for the (semi)continuous production of biopharmaceutical and biological macromolecular products, in particular, such as proteins, such as monoclonal antibodies and vaccine preparations, including the ultrafiltration unit according to the invention. Unit for continuous ultrafiltration of a feed stream that contains biopharmaceutical and biological macromolecular products, including at least one capillary ultrafiltration module, wherein at least one pump moves the feed stream into the capillaries of the ultrafiltration module, a displacement pump moves the feed stream from the capillaries and at least one additional pump creates a current of flushing fluid on the outer side of the capillaries, said unit is free of measures for circulating flow of the feed stream and flushing fluid into the ultrafiltration module and the ultrafiltration module is free from bubbles from the capillaries and from the lateral side, wherein freedom from bubbles is achieved through an initial filling process, in which both the feed stream side and the lateral side are washed with a buffer solution until gas bubbles are no longer released from the dialysis module.

EFFECT: technical result is control of the product flow, in particular control of the concentration, pH and / or electrical conductivity of the continuous product flow, by replacing the buffer solution.
