FIELD: torches.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to burner for combustion of anode gases formed during electrolysis in electrolysis cell for production of aluminum with self-baking anode. Burner is divided into two parts – a lower part, which includes zone of preliminary mixing of burned anode gases with air and primary combustion zone, which is a block of steel pipes, and upper part, in which there is intense mixing and final annealing of anode gases, wherein ratio of diameter d of upper part of burner to diameter d1 of its lower part is d:d1=1.4÷1.6:1, and ratio of height H of upper section of burner to height h of its lower section is H:h=2.0÷2.5=1, wherein steel tubes in unit relative to horizontal are arranged at angle of 60÷70°, and ratio of diameter d1 of lower part of burner to diameter d2 of steel pipes is d1:d2=4÷5:1, wherein at the level of the upper part of the steel tubes block a flange is located, the ratio of diameter d3 of which to diameter d1 of the lower part of the burner is d3:d1=1.05÷1.1:1, ratio of height h1 of the chamber, in which the block of steel pipes is located, to height h2 of the block is h1:h2=1.02÷1.05:1, and ratio of width b of chamber of inclined tubes arrangement to diameter d1 of lower part of burner is b:d1=1.02÷1.05:1.

EFFECT: higher combustion of anode gases.
