FIELD: methods and devices for production of gaseous bromide by direct combustion of bromine in hydrogen. SUBSTANCE: method consists in conduction of reaction of combustion is device including burner, cooled combustion chamber made of impregnated graphite and cooling zone. The latter consists of steel jacket in which blocks of impregnated graphite are laid. To realize the claimed method, hydrogen and bromine are thoroughly mixed in chamber under pressure and flame is initiated at chamber outlet. In so doing, a part or all bromine is replaced with jet of preliminarily vaporized bromine at molar ratio of H2/Br2 sufficient for maintaining stable burning. Exhaust gases are cooled and gaseous hydrogen bromide is trapped under pressure of, at least, one bar and temperature not in excess of 125 C. EFFECT: very pure gaseous hydrogen bromide produced by claimed method and device. 14 cl, 3 dwg
