FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, namely to high-strength corrosion-resistant steels melted in vacuum-induction furnace with subsequent electroslag remelting for introduction of nitrogen under pressure used for production of rolling bearings. Steel contains components in following ratio, wt. %: carbon 0.30–0.35, nitrogen 0.25–0.35, chrome 13.50–15.50, nickel 0.30–1.0, molybdenum 0.75–1.0, vanadium 0.2–0.3, silicon 0.5–1.0, manganese 0.2–0.5, lanthanum up to 0.03, yttrium to 0.03, iron and impurities are balance.
EFFECT: steel has high operational characteristics, providing significant increase in service life of rolling bearings.
