FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to tools for milling with double-sided indexed tangential plates. Each plate comprises two main surfaces and peripheral surface extending there between. Plate has middle plane located in middle between main surfaces, and clamping hole with central axis. Peripheral surface includes three side surfaces, each of which contains only two cutting sections, two rear sections and two auxiliary support surfaces, located on opposite sides of said middle plane, each of which continuously extends between appropriate cutting section and rear section. Each cutting section includes the main cutting edge, auxiliary cutting edge and angular cutting edge. In cross-section along first imaginary plane perpendicular to axis of hole, each auxiliary support surface is concave in bent, and on each side surface auxiliary support surfaces converge outside.
EFFECT: efficient removal of material and reliable clamping of the plate in the tool seat.
