FIELD: processing and recycling of wastes; nuclear engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment in the field of handling liquid radioactive wastes (LRW). Disclosed is a method of cleaning LRW in intermediate reservoirs and post-treatment in mechanical and ion-exchange filters with curing of formed radioactive concentrates. Sludge is washed in storage facilities, and formed suspension heated to 50 °C and consisting of LRW, is supplied to first hydrocyclone, in which there is separation of suspension into heavy fragments of oil products and on LRW with light fragments of oil products, sent to second hydrocyclone, where they are separated into oil products directed to the first intermediate reservoir, and to pre-cleaned LRW, directed to the second intermediate reservoir. Hydraulic pump is directed to mechanical filtration unit. Purified LRW are fed into first unit of selective purification into ion exchange filter filled with ion-exchange resins KU-2-8chS, AV-17-8chS at ratio of 1:1, and then into filter with selective sorbent of "Thermoxid-3K" grade. LRW are supplied to the third intermediate reservoir, where sampling is performed.

EFFECT: invention allows completely removing from reservoirs of LRW storages contaminated with oil products, corrosion products and slurries.
