FIELD: protective devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protective devices against radioactive contamination. Protective damping system of transport packing container for transportation of spent nuclear fuel consists of a set of rings interconnected by concentric cylinders and disks. Protective-damping system is equipped with metal casing. Several layers of damping elements are arranged inside the end part of the casing and separated by discs. Several layers of damping elements are arranged inside the cylindrical part of the casing and separated by cylinders. Inside conical part of casing there are several layers of damping elements, which are separated by conical shells. Each damping element is made up of two pipes inserted one into another. Outer pipe is made from steel, and inner pipe is made from carbon-fiber reinforced plastic.
EFFECT: invention allows simplifying welding mode, using material with reduced specific weight for damping elements.
