FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: shipping packaging set has a case and a container, having a metal housing with hermetic sealing of the inside of the container. The case is placed inside the container with a given radial clearance with possibility of forming a heat-conducting contact between the outer surface of the case and the inner surface of the housing of the container in loaded state of the latter during thermal action from spent fuel assemblies. The case is made from stainless steel and has top and bottom spacer grids to which are air-tightly welded hexagonal tubes for holding spent fuel assemblies, and there is a lining around the case with formation of an airtight tube space which is filled with heat-conducting material (heat-conducting composition), wherein the outer surface of the hexagonal tubes is coated with a self-fluxing boron-bearing alloy.
EFFECT: invention improves operational characteristics of the shipping packaging set.
