SUBSTANCE: method comprises the following steps: ordering of two continuous rows of said joining articles and their maintenance in such an ordered state, feeding and movement of previously ordered said articles to first winding unit of stretchable film and winding said articles with first film during rotation in first direction to produce solid package or package, moving forward and feeding said articles into second stretchable film winding ring for winding by second film while rotating in second direction opposite first direction of rotation, to produce a solid package or a stack of two layers of film wound while rotating in opposite directions, and moving forward and feeding said solid package or package into cutting assembly, which moves synchronously with said solid package or package and which cuts said solid package or package in transverse direction to finished units of articles. Said stages of winding of articles into first film and second film are performed selectively and alternatively by means of one of two circular winding devices, provided for each of the two winding units, thereby providing continuity of the winding process also in case the film is consumed in at least one of the two annular winding devices, provided for each of said two winding units. Machine comprises an ordering assembly receiving two continuous rows of said interlocking articles and retaining them in an ordered state. Machine also comprises first annular winding assembly and second annular winding assembly, performing winding in direction, opposite to direction of rotation of first annular winding assembly, cutting assembly for cutting solid package formed at previous step, in order to obtain finished blocks of articles, Stretched film is wrapped with plastic material to form final package. Each of annular winding units comprises frame, on which two ring winding devices rest on two opposite sides, made with possibility of selective and alternate activation in order to form said solid package. Said two devices of annular winding of the first winding unit rotate in the direction opposite to direction of rotation of devices of annular winding of the second winding unit.
