SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to dermatovenerology, pathological anatomy and oncology, and can be used for diagnosing basal cell skin cancer at the initial stage. That is ensured by visual inspection. Further, the lesion is irrigated with 10 exposures of liquid nitrogen or exposed to liquid nitrogen by 10-fold on the lesion. If pearlescent or semitransparent pamphlets are formed, basal cell carcinoma is diagnosed at the periphery of the element no later than 12 hours after cryodestruction.

EFFECT: method provides high diagnostic accuracy, reduced length of diagnosis, enables differential diagnosis with similar dermatoses, possibility of determining the adequate therapeutic approach as quickly as possible, which enables to improve immediate and remote therapeutic results.
