FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to skin sensitivity threshold measuring devices to measure skin sensitivity threshold (10) of a subject's finger. Body shell (2) of the device comprises probe (15), drive unit (16) of the probe, control unit (20) with a drive, and a unit for detecting displacement (17). Probe provides an irritant by coming into contact with the skin of the fingertip. Drive unit of the probe actuates the probe, has a function of imparting vibration to impart ultrasonic vibration to the probe and a displacement function for movement of the probe. Drive control unit controls driving state of drive unit. Unit for detecting the displacement value detects the displacement value of the probe moved by the drive unit. When the probe is in contact with the skin of the fingertip, the drive unit of the probe is actuated by a control signal from the drive control unit to provide a movable stimulus to the fingertip, accompanied by an ultrasonic vibration stimulus. Unit for detecting the displacement value detects the displacement value of the probe at a time when the subject demonstrates the reaction, and the skin sensitivity threshold of the individual's fingertip is measured.
EFFECT: quantitative measurement of the threshold of skin sensitivity of the human fingertip with high reproducibility, applicable for establishing the health status and identifying the presence of peripheral neuropathy caused by diabetes, or developing neuropathy.
