FIELD: astronautics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of damping impact loads when landing, preferably small spacecraft (SC). System comprises a bag-like shell attached to the SC bottom and made of ring mesh and filled with granular solid-state spherical elements with diameter of 0.012–0.015 m, laid in 12–15 layers in the above shell. Filler weight of said elements is selected equal to 15±5 % SC weight.
EFFECT: higher reliability of landing SC mainly due to prevention of rebound from landing surface.
