FIELD: furnaces.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a rotary sludge burning furnace for making cement clinker. Furnace comprises housing installed horizontally and mounted from sections. At that, housing is made with formation of multifaceted inner and outer surfaces from sections, each of which is turned relative to previous one by 90°, and is mounted in direction from loading to unloading with increase in dimensions of flow section area relative to previous section and consists of two subsections, first of which is mounted from large equal-sided – regular trapezoid, connected by its sides at angle of 90° with large lateral sides of two large scalene triangles, bases of which are equal to upper base of large equal-sided – regular trapezoid, and second subsection is mounted of small equal-sided – regular trapezoid. Note here that discontinuous broken screw lines are formed along body perimeter with pitch increasing along body length from loading to unloading.

EFFECT: technical result consists in expansion of technological capabilities and increase of intensity of heat exchange in furnace.
