FIELD: filtration.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a filtration system comprising an injection pump configured to apply pressure to a fluid flowing between a first chamber and a second chamber, a flow sensor, configured to determine at least one parameter associated with the fluid flow through the membrane mounted between the first chamber and the second chamber, a pressure sensor, configured to determine pressure readings of fluid flowing from first chamber to second chamber, filtration control system, made with possibility to initiate application of constant pressure by pressure pump to fluid flowing through membrane for first preset period of time on the basis of pressure readings. Filtering control system can be configured to initiate change by means of delivery pump direction of flow of fluid medium through membrane based on at least one parameter during a second predetermined period of time. In the fluid filtration method, at least one of the following is monitored for the current filtration cycle: changing the throughput capacity of the fluid filtrate during operation at constant pressure or pressure variation during operation with constant throughput capacity during filtrate treatment; determining a clogging mechanism based on one or more of determining that change in throughput capacity for the current filtering cycle is greater, than change of throughput capacity of filtrate treatment for previous filtration cycle, or determination that pressure change for current filtration cycle is more than change of pressure for previous filtration cycle; purification protocol is selected based on a certain clogging mechanism and a purification procedure is carried out in accordance with the selected purification protocol.
