FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to cleaning methods and systems, in particular to methods and systems intended for removal of contaminants from a waste stream. Waste stream (24) containing a certain amount of organic contaminants is fed into reservoir (38) in which there is powdered activated carbon (30) in order to remove organic contaminants from waste stream (24). Suspension (16) with high content of suspended solid phase is supplied from reservoir (38) into membrane unit (12) connected with reservoir (38) by fluid communication in order to remove solid phase from suspension (16) with high content of suspended solid phase. Concentration of suspended solid phase (SS), including powdered activated carbon (30), in suspension (16) with high content of suspended solid phase is at least 10 g/l, wherein suspension (16) with high content of suspended solid phase additionally includes some amount of biological material (48), and weight ratio of powdered activated carbon (30) to biological material (48) is from 1:1 to 5:1.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of cleaning efficiency, reduction of consumption of materials, working time and reduction of area occupied by cleaning system.
