FIELD: measurement.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to measurement and signaling equipment, namely to devices for detecting presence of liquids, in particular, in car cabin, and also can be used as elements of emergency alarm and sensors of flooding and water leakage in buildings. Disclosed is equipment for detecting presence of liquids, comprising a cable of two conductors (2, 2'), in dry conditions electrically insulated from each other by means of insulating material, and in the presence of liquids forming a closed electric circuit. At that, insulating material is at least one paper shell (3) arranged in the form of a spiral around at least one of conductors (2, 2'). Conductors (2, 2') are connected to vehicle control unit containing software for evaluation of presence of liquids in car cabin.
EFFECT: technical result is the creation of a device for detecting the presence of liquids, which would be easy to control and effective with respect to rapid provision of information on the presence of water in the passenger compartment.
