SUBSTANCE: aspects of the invention relate to a system for feeding an ingredient for a beverage container. System includes a cap comprising an ingredient compartment, a spout, a dispenser for introducing an ingredient from the ingredient compartment through a spout into a container, first sensor for measuring amount of liquid in container and controller. Controller is configured to receive an initiation signal, obtain results of measuring the amount of liquid and/or a certain increase in the amount of liquid in the beverage container, obtaining ingredient parameters, calculating a first ingredient amount and/or a second ingredient quantity to be introduced by the dispenser into the liquid in the container, based on the measured amount of liquid and/or defined increase in the amount of liquid and ingredient parameters and control the dispenser to add a first amount of the ingredient and/or a second amount of the ingredient to the liquid.
EFFECT: invention discloses an ingredient supply system for introducing an ingredient into a container.
