FILTER-PRESSING DEVICE FOR ELECTRODEPOSITION OF METALS FROM SOLUTIONS, CONSISTING OF SEPARATE ELEMENTS FORMED BY ION-EXCHANGE MEMBRANES, FORMING A PLURALITY OF ANOLYTE AND CATHOLYTE CHAMBERS, IN WHICH ELECTRODES ARE CONNECTED IN SERIES WITH AUTOMATIC SEPARATION OF METAL PRODUCT Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC C25B9/20 C25C1/12

Abstract RU 2725871 C2

FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to filter-pressing device for electrodeposition of metal from solutions containing it. Device is a completely closed and sealed device, not generating gases, operating under controlled conditions of pressure, flow rate, current, voltage, pH and temperature, consisting of chambers operating independently and formed by serially arranged plates, said plates are made of electric insulating material, electrodes and ion-exchange membranes arranged between each anode and cathode to form a plurality of anode and cathode compartments, wherein each of insulating material plates comprises a number of holes which are made to create a hydrodynamic flow with less resistance to circulation of electrolyte or alkali and to prevent communication between catholyte and anolyte, and through which electrolytes and liquors from metallurgical processes are loaded into cathode and anode compartments at room temperature, respectively, flowing at equally high consumption, short waiting time and high current intensity. Each compartment comprises independently communicating holes for movement of catholyte and anolyte, which are arranged along the length of the device for electrochemical extraction in parallel and / or in series, at the same time to allow combination and movement of fluids inside each compartment from one end to another, from lower part to upper part, from upper part to lower part, from left to right or vice versa and from opposite positions to their combination, wherein possibility of spent liquors removal is provided, wherein upon completion of production cycle possibility of cell stop is provided by its opening, possibility to lift cathodes for metal deposition for their extraction from location and their replacement for beginning of new production cycle, or possibility to leave them in place for automatic separation of the electrodeposited product without the need to remove the cathode from the device due to low roughness of the main metal of the cathode.

EFFECT: disclosed is filter-pressing device for metal electrodeposition.
