COMPOSITION AND METHOD OF PRODUCING BIODEGRADABLE DISPOSABLE TABLEWARE Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A47G19/03

Abstract RU 2725974 C1

FIELD: satisfaction of vital human requirements.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to production of disposable tableware. Disposable biodegradable tableware consists of tree bark – not less than 25 %, moss – not less than 10 %, cellulose in form of purified cotton – not more than 15 %, straw or cake of sunflower seeds – not less than 10 %, starch of oyster plant or potato starch or oat grain – not more than 20 %, citric acid – not less than 10 %, fructose – not more than 10 %. Disposable tableware production method involves preparation of dry raw materials at its drying at a temperature of not more than 103 °C for not more than 8 hours. Then, the raw material is heat treated at temperature not more than 100 °C for not more than 1 hour. After that raw material is repeatedly dried at temperature of not more than 90 °C for not more than 4 hours. Then milling bark, moss, straw or cake of sunflower seeds, cellulose in form of cleaned cotton wool. Parallel preparation of solution of mixture of potato starch or oat starch, or oat grain with citric acid and fructose. Said mixture is cooked at temperature of not more than 97 °C for at least 5 minutes. Milled ingredients are mixed with liquid mixture at temperature of 70–90 °C. Obtained mass is homogenized, and final product is molded under pressure.

EFFECT: group of inventions enables to provide a disposable biodegradable dish with antibacterial, antiseptic and antifungal properties, with minimum use of food products in a composition of up to 20 %, which can be edible for animals, and also has the ability to retain moisture from 8 to 12 hours, is resistant to low temperatures and ultraviolet, has a flexible shape and can be made in any regions, since production can be used bark of any trees, as well as produced dish is resistant to alcohols; besides, the declared tableware is completely decomposed in environmental conditions, can be eaten by animals, does not pollute the environment.
