FIELD: food industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to material based on polysaccharide raw materials for the production of edible biodegradable disposable tableware and packaging. Material based on grain bran is proposed, grain crops are selected from: wheat bran, rye bran, barley bran, and other similar grain processing products or mixtures of grain bran and starch obtained from various sources, including wheat, corn, potato, rice and barley starches. Material is suitable and safe for human consumption, characterized by increased biodegradability. Material has high physical and mechanical properties with the following ratio of components in the initial formulation, wt. %: purified water / mixture of water and glycerin (57-65), grain bran / mixture of bran and starch (33-40), binding additive of gelatin, guar gum, carob gum, xanthan gum (0-3), as well as auxiliary additives.

EFFECT: use of the invention will reduce the environmental burden as a result of reducing the consumption of non-degradable disposable plastic tableware and packaging.
