FIELD: kitchenware.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of biodegradable kitchenware. Proposed is a composition for producing biodegradable kitchenware, including a base - water, wheat bran, starch and gelatin, characterised by the fact that the composition is prepared as follows: potato starch and gelatin dissolved in water and brought to a liquid homogeneous state in a water bath are added to crushed potato bran, at the following ratio of components, % of the total mass of the composition: water - 50, wheat bran - 25, potato starch - 15, gelatin - 10.
EFFECT: development of a biodegradable composition exhibiting plastic properties suitable for manufacturing disposable tableware.
