FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of determining physical effect of exposure on hail clouds. Essence: prior to beginning of action on hail cloud in hail growth zone using two-wave automated radar complex, determining point with maximum value of radar reflectivity at wavelength η10 cm. For this point radar reflectivity at wavelength is determined η3.2 cm. Initial values of the three main physical parameters of the hysteresis microstructure are calculated for the given point: the average size of the hail, the concentration of hail particles, the stream of kinetic energy of the hail. Then reagent is added towards hail growth. Thereafter, for the said point in each cycle of observation, new values of radar reflectivity at the wavelength η10 cm and at wavelength η3.2 cm. From the obtained reflectivity values, values of the same parameters of the microstructure of the hail are calculated: average hail size, concentration of hail particles, flow of kinetic energy of the hail. Trend of these parameters is determined and physical effect of exposure on hail cloud is evaluated.
EFFECT: technical result is providing on-line control of physical effect of exposure on hail clouds.
