FIELD: active impact on hydrometeorological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of active effects on hail clouds in order to prevent hail damage and artificial precipitation using anti-hail rockets. Method of active effects on hail clouds consists in the fact that determining in the cloud frontal part in the direction of the radio echo canopy a hail precipitation formation zone, limited in height by the temperature threshold levels, and along the outer contour with the threshold levels of radar reflectivity, determined by cyclic measurement of radar signals by discrete spatial points, with subsequent introduction of reagent into this zone with the help of Alazan-6 and Alazan-9 missiles, having lower threshold angle of elevation during firing, respectively, 45° and 50°. At the same time in the spring period—April–May, when hail clouds are in the surface layer of the atmosphere, atmospheric temperature radio sounding data is used to determine the height of the lower boundary of the hail precipitation formation zone relative to the impact point. When this boundary is located at altitude of 2.4 km from the level of the impact point, Alazan-6 missiles are fired at the clouds. If this boundary is located at level of 2.4 km and higher, using an automated anti-hail operations control system at the firing control command post, a vertical section of the cloud is formed in the firing plane, then, against the background of this section for each type of used missiles, the length of the active smoke path lying directly in the hail precipitation formation zone is determined, thereafter, the cloud is exposed to rockets which, at appropriate elevation angles, provide the maximum active smoke path in the hailstone formation zone.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of impact on hail clouds in spring period—April–May months by means of rational selection of type of used rockets.
