FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shipbuilding and concerns structural hull structures, in particular bulkheads of protective enclosure of nuclear power plant reactor compartment, and can be used, for example, to develop protective enclosure of reactor compartment of ice breaker or floating nuclear power plant. Disclosed is a protective enclosure of a reactor compartment of a ship, which is a sealed steel housing, located above the tank of metal-water protection, in spans between the decks to provide a stress state close to momentless, it is made of non-ribbed panels bent outward and having cylindrical surface with horizontal generatrix, wherein panel curvature radius is uniquely determined by the distance between adjacent decks and the ratio of the enclosure area in the horizontal plane to its perimeter.
EFFECT: technical result consists in reducing the weight of the protective enclosure, reducing the volume of welding, providing more uniform stress state of the non-ribbed cylindrical enclosure panels.
