FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a support for transverse sealing of pipe with section of longitudinal seam and moving along path. Support comprises a first elongated contact surface and a second elongated contact surface. First elongated contact surface comprises a first groove, and a second elongated contact surface comprises a second groove, each of the first groove and the second groove are intended to receive when using a corresponding section of a longitudinal seam portion of the pipe. First elongated contact surface comprises a first portion of action on the seam provided within the first groove and having a first surface profile, and the second elongated contact surface comprises a second portion of action on the seam provided within the second groove and having a second surface profile different from the first surface profile.
EFFECT: technical result is simplification of support structure.
