FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: facility for pipe sealing, formed by means of sealing joint lap between two mutually opposite end sections of packing material sheet, consists of first and second opposed to each other jaws. The jaws have the first and the second main sealing surfaces. A pipe subject to flattening and squeezing is arranged between these surfaces. Thermoplastic in this section is heated and a transverse sealing seam along the main line of sealing is produced. The first main sealing surface contacts an internal end section of joint lap and goes beyond an external end section of the joint lap along the main line of sealing before sealing.
EFFECT: facilitating optimal transverse sealing seam aligning relative to sealing surface.
