FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil and gas production and prospecting industries and is intended for threading on pipes outside the machine tool. Device for cutting threads on pipes outside machine tool includes housing, mechanism of rotation and supply of cutting tool, which includes unit for conversion of rotary motion from drive into rotary-forward movement of cutting tool. Cutting tool feed and rotation mechanism is located inside the housing and is made in the form of an electric motor connected to the cutting tool, a lead screw fixed on the last first gear wheel and engaged with it and fixed on the sleeve of the second gear wheel providing the case rotation around the sleeve. Device is equipped with drive of lead screw rotation and friction element located between housing and sleeve intended for deceleration of first gear wheel rolling around second one and made in form of shoe pressed to sleeve with friction pad fixed on it.

EFFECT: enlarging operational capabilities, possibility of adjusting the pitch of the produced thread, simplifying the design and increasing service life of the appliance.
