SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology, specifically to recombinant expression plasmids, and can be used to synthesize the small hairpin RNA (shRNA) inhibiting the expression of the gene coding selective silenser 5-HT1A receptor Freud-1 in the brain of mammals. AAV SynH1-2_shRNA Freud-1 plasmid is designed which is packaged into an adeno-associated viral capsid to ensure delivery of a construct into mammalian neurons.

EFFECT: transcription of shRNA coded by plasmid AAV SynH1-2_shRNA Freud-1 in mouse neurons reduces expression of selective silenser of serotonin 5-HT1A receptor Freud-1, thus leading to amplification of 5-HT1A receptor expression in brains of mice and, as a result, having antidepressant action.
