FIELD: pharmaceutics.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to chemical-pharmaceutical industry, namely to a method for producing a thick extract having antidepressant activity. Method for production of a thick extract based on the meadowsweet fruits, having antidepressant activity, including the percolation technique of herbal raw material using 70 % ethyl alcohol, wherein the raw material is represented by meadowsweet fruits, percolation is carried out in ratio of raw material : extractant 1:1 with further evaporation under vacuum to thick extract with yield of flavonoids 2.3±0.2 %.

EFFECT: method described above enables to obtain an extract with pronounced antidepressant activity, the extract is characterized by high content of biologically active substances.
