FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to laboratory diagnostics for studying of oral liquid viscosity in comparison with viscosity of water. For this purpose, 1 drop of oral liquid or distilled water is applied on filter paper placed in an embroidery type frame with the same height from the surface of the filter paper. One minute after application, droplets diameter is measured to calculate oral fluid viscosity by formula CVS=DW/DS, where CVS is the oral fluid viscosity, rel. units, DW is mean diameter of water droplet spread, mm, DS is the average diameter of the spot of a spread droplet of the oral liquid, mm.

EFFECT: invention provides a simple method for determining a marker of high-viscosity syndrome of the oral fluid and the possibility of comparing the results and statistical processing thereof in medical institutions.
