FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of determining geophysical parameters of strata of rocks using pulsed neutron-gamma-ray logging equipment. Essence of the invention lies in the fact that the method for simultaneous determination of density and porosity of rock further comprises steps, on which calibration functions for density RINcorr (ρ) are previously found in form of: RINcorr(ρ) = [RIN(ρ) + f1(RRC(ρ))] and porosity RRCcorr (p) in form of: RRCcorr(p)=[RRC(p) + f2(RIN(p))], functions f1 (RRC (ρ)) and f2 (RIN (p)) are found so, that calibration functions RINcorr (ρ) and RRCcorr (p) are linear functions, respectively, of density ρ and porosity p: RINcorr(ρ) = k·ρ + a, RRCcorr(p) = m·p + b, where k and m are calibration coefficients, a and b constants, determining calibration factors k and m, as well as constants a and b, calculating values RINcorr and RRCcorr by correcting RIN and RRC using obtained calibration functions, density ρ and rock porosity p are determined according to expressions: ρ = (RINcorr − a)/k, p = (RRCcorr − b)/m.

EFFECT: technical result is simultaneous determination of density and porosity of rock.
