FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fuel combustion (gaseous hydrogen) at subsonic speeds of microstructure outflow (up to transonic velocities) during its diffusion combustion. Method of diffusion combustion of hydrogen microstructure in an inert medium involves generation of hydrogen microstructure with subsonic flow rate from the burner nozzle and its ignition at the nozzle edge. Simultaneously with ignition of hydrogen microstructure, around the combustion zone, a coaxial laminar air jet with subsonic speed is created, providing a stable zone of mixing hydrogen microstructure with air and protecting the torch burning zone from the action of the surrounding inert medium, wherein the hydrogen jet burning intensity is controlled by the coaxial air jet flow rate variation.
EFFECT: technical result is creation of stable diffusion micro jet hydrogen burning in inert medium.
