FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to agriculture, namely to means of protection of farm animals against insect bites, and can be used for protection of farm animals against ectoparasites during their pasture maintenance. Method of producing a polymer article involves treating the polymer article with an impregnating solution containing pyrethroid, an inhibitor of detoxicating enzyme systems of arthropods, a lubricant and an aliphatic ketone. Pyrethroid is used in amount of 2–26 % of the weight of the untreated polymer article, the inhibitor of detoxicating enzyme systems of arthropods is used in amount of 0.5–20.0 % of the weight of the raw polymer article, the lubricant is used in amount of 0.1–3.0 % of weight of untreated polymer article, and the aliphatic ketone is used in amount of 5–90 wt % of maximum absorbed by said polymer. Obtained polymer article contains pyrethroid impregnated into the polymer in amount of 2.8–11.8 % of the ready product weight and an inhibitor of arthropodic detoxicating enzyme systems in amount of 0.4–19.9 % of the ready product weight. Method is easy to implement, and the insectoacaricidal polymer articles manufactured according to the proposed method have a long period of validity of not less than seven months. Products are resistant to the environment, at the same time the active substances are released from the declared polymer articles evenly during the whole period of their action.

EFFECT: disclosed is a polymer article for protecting farm animals from ectoparasites and a method for production thereof.
