FIELD: fodders.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to fodder production, in particular to a method for production of a fodder composition for domestic animals and a kit for improving fodder consumption to domestic animals. Method for improving fodder consumption by animals includes providing a pet with an effective amount of a fodder composition containing fermentable fibres and betaine. Fodder composition for domestic animals is in a wet composition. Fermentable fibres comprise a mixture of short chain fructo-oligosaccharides with (scFOS) and beta-glucan. Beta-glucan is present in amount of 0.01–0.08 % of fodder composition weight, scFOS is present in amount of 0.05 to 0.5 wt. % of the feed composition, betaine is present in amount of 0.05 to 0.5 wt. % of the feed composition. Pet is represented by a cat. Method for production of a fodder composition for domestic animals involves bringing fermentable fibres into contact with betaine.

EFFECT: use of group of inventions improves feed intake to animals.
