SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a fodder composition for domestic animals containing a component for regulation of blood glucose level containing soya isoflavone and yeast beta-glucan (β-glucan). Ratio of yeast beta-glucan and soy isoflavone ranges from about 23:1 to about 7:1. Blood glucose control component is present in an amount effective to form a short-chain fatty acid (SCFA) -based complex through approximately 24 hours after consumption by mammals, characterized by content of propionate, which is more than approximately 20 % of total content of formed complex based on short-chain fatty acid (SCFA). Invention relates to a method for regulation of post-prandial glucose levels in a companion animal, involving feeding a companion animal with said feed composition for domestic animals. Invention relates to a method for inducing satiety in a companion animal, involving feeding a companion animal with said pet food composition 1 containing an effective amount of a blood glucose control component containing soya isoflavone and yeast beta-glucan.
