FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to vertebrology and beam diagnostics, is intended for a quantitative assessment of the gluteus muscle state in order to develop a preoperative preparation and postoperative rehabilitation strategy in the patients with idiopathic scoliosis. Method involves convex and concave sides and scoliotic spinal deformity. Age group of the patient is determined. Multisutral spiral computed tomography of the pelvis is performed. Images of an axial gluteus muscle are obtained: small, large and medium. Value of the average density of each gluteus muscle is determined on the entire cross-sectional area with a convex and concave side of deformation. For this purpose, the image of the axial section is outlined by contour of each gluteus muscle along the border with its own fascia; average muscle density is measured inside the border. Average density value for each gluteus muscle is obtained. Relation of values of average density of each gluteus muscle to a value of normal average density of each gluteus muscle for a patient of a certain age group is determined. Mean gluteus muscle density is compared with normal gluteus muscle average values. Ratio of the average density of each gluteus muscle from the convex side of the scoliotic spinal deformation to the average density of each gluteus muscle of muscles is determined on the concave side of the scoliotic spinal deformity. Degree of changes of average density of separate gluteus muscles on the concave side of scoliotic spinal deformation is determined, taking into account the degree of scoliotic spinal deformity and age, comparing the value of the average gluteus muscle density with normal average density. Degree of changes in the average density of the gluteus muscles on the convex side of the scoliotic spinal deformation is determined, taking into account the degree of scoliotic spinal deformity and age, comparing the gluteus muscle average density with the average density normal values.
EFFECT: technical result is determination of degree of gluteus muscle changes for development of plan of preoperative preparation and postoperative rehabilitation of patients.
