FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and can be used in production of hard alloy pressed workpieces from powder. Composite female die (82) is used, comprising lateral mould elements (90, 92, 94, 96). Side elements (90, 92, 94, 96) of the mould are brought in and at least two side elements (100, 102, 104, 106) of the male die are fitted. At that, at least two side elements (90, 92, 94, 96) of the mould have guide recess (110, 112, 114, 116) for male die side element (100, 102, 104, 106). Filling module (152) is supplied through cavity (86) hole and its filling with hard alloy powder, supply of at least one upper part (122) of the mould, which determines section of upper side (192) of cavity (86). Side moulding elements (90, 92, 94, 96) and mould upper part (122) are retained and powder is compacted by, at least, two male die lateral elements (100, 102, 104, 106). Then, lateral mould elements (90, 92, 94, 96), upper mould part (122) and male die elements (100, 102, 104, 106) are moved to extract pressed workpiece (10).
EFFECT: as a result, obtaining a homogeneous pressed billet which does not require significant additional processing.
