FIELD: wire production.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the manufacture of spiral threads for wire meshes, using corresponding production equipment. The method includes manufacture of spiral threads (10a-g, 102a-g) for wire mesh (12a-g), which are made of wire, a bundle of wires, a wire strand, and/or a wire rope, with at least one wire (30a-g) at least partially made of high-strength steel. Spiral threads (10a-g, 102a-g) are bent to form several first arms (16a-g), second arms (18a-g), and bending points (20a-g) binding first arm (16a-g) and adjacent second arm (18a-g) to each other. Spiral threads (10a-g, 102 a-g) are bent using braiding-knife device (24a-g) having at least one braiding knife (22a-g) in such a way that at least central points (26a-g) of first arms (16a-g) and/or at least central points (28a-g) of second arms (18a-g) of completely bent spiral thread (10a-g, 102a-g) are located essentially in the same plane. A structure of used equipment is disclosed.
EFFECT: obtainment of a wire mesh with given characteristics is provided.
