FIELD: cosmetology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for improving the appearance of stretch marks in an individual. A method for improving the appearance of stretch marks in an individual, comprising the following steps: providing the presence of an individual, determining a treatment site on the individual's skin, where the treatment site is a skin area comprising stretch marks, injecting the tropoelastic composition into skin tissue within the treatment site, where the tropoelastic composition is injected into the treatment site so, to create a number of tropoelastin within the treatment region, which is increased compared to the skin outside the treatment region, and where the method involves maintaining the amount of tropoelastin in the treatment site for a predetermined period of time, thereby improving the appearance of the stretch marks in the individual.
EFFECT: above described method is effective for improving appearance of stretch marks by recovering the elastic skin profile by remodeling the composition into elastin.
