FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to internal diseases, and is intended for prediction of acute renal damage (ARD) using a modified Mehran risk assessment scale in the patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS). A survey is conducted, the medical documentation is examined, the patient is examined, the general and biochemical blood analysis is performed, and the used therapeutic approach is analyzed. To calculate the risk, ten parameters are evaluated, each of which is given a certain number of points: hypotension – 5 points; use of intra-aortic balloon counterpulsation – 5 points; acute heart failure III-IV stage by Killip – 5 points; age > 75 years – 4 points; anemia – 3 points; diabetes mellitus – 3 points; volume of contrast preparation – 1 point for each 100 ml; increase of creatinine at admission to 44 mcmole/l as compared to basal – 4 points; postinfarction cardiosclerosis – 2 points; diagnostically significant increase of troponin – 2 points, if their total is more than 8 – high probability of developing acute renal damage is predicted.

EFFECT: method provides early prediction of acute renal damage, which opens the possibility for timely prevention and treatment of these patients.
