FIELD: veterinary medicine; biology.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary science and biology, namely to anatomy and morphology, and can be used for making soft anatomical preparations. Method involves preliminary addition of demonstration form to preparation, fixation of preparation at temperature not higher than +5 °C in a solution containing formalin – 60 g, sodium acetate – 100 g, potassium chloride – 10 g, distilled water – 1,000 g, wherein the volume of solution is 3 times greater than the volume of the fixed preparation. In this solution, the preparation is maintained until the tissues are uniformly compacted, and the blood is no longer extracted into the solution, which takes from several hours to 1 month, depending on the size, density and structure of the organ, the solution is replaced with a new one every 5 days. Color is then restored in 95 % alcohol with exposure of several minutes to 3 hours, depending on the density, size and structure of the organ. Then one performs preservation in a solution containing glycerine – 3,800 g, sodium acetate – 30 g, water – 1,000 g, thymol – 10 g, the solution must completely cover the preparation, exposure at this stage is from 2 to 4 months.

EFFECT: use of the invention enables to obtain anatomical preparations which are non-toxic, odorless, have high visibility, are close to natural color and shape of organs and tissues, can be studied not only visually, but also manually and stored in open-air, without using hermetically sealed containers.
