SUBSTANCE: invention refers to sports medicine and therapeutic exercises, and can be used for improvement of physical condition of sportsmen, in particular, sportsmen of power sports of heavy weight categories. It involves clinical-diagnostic examination, collection of cardiac information and analysis of athlete's body composition by performing laboratory and instrumental examinations. Prognostic indicators of aerobic load are calculated on a velo-ergometer based on the obtained data during laboratory and instrumental studies. Rehabilitation programs are made taking into account the predicted parameters.

EFFECT: method provides reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases in sportsmen of power sports of heavy weight categories, increasing the weight of working muscles of an athlete and achieving a sports result by evaluating a complex of the most significant indicators.
