FIELD: oil, gas and coke-chemical industries.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to NMR relaxometry and can be used for identification of oil products and rapid analysis of their quality. Method includes recording of attenuation signals of transverse and longitudinal nuclear magnetization of protons, determination of distributions of relaxation times T1 and T2 by inversion of the Laplace transform, calculation of probability of coincidence of these distributions with reference distributions previously measured for certified oil products. Measurements are carried out by nuclear magnetic resonance relaxometry, and the measured parameters used are distributions of relaxation times T1 and T2, obtained by inversion of Laplace transform.
EFFECT: non-destructive unambiguous identification of motor fuels and oils and rapid analysis of oil product quality without using stationary expensive laboratories.
