SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and system for determining an optimum trajectory of drilling a well, in particular both for determining the trajectory of a well shaft before drilling, and for correcting a trajectory during drilling. Method of drilling well trajectory determining, at which performing: data on stresses in rock and on orientation of crack; simulating the effect of stresses generated by the well on fracture stress at different well orientation angles (i, a); construction of well trajectory with crossing of crack at angles (i, a) of well orientation selected according to simulation results, at which crack activation condition is achieved at maximum cross-over of well surface and fracture.

EFFECT: invention can be used for increasing oil recovery of developed oil deposits due to increased activity of cracks, for example, natural well trajectories detected along the corridor, by determining the optimum position of the well shaft relative to the plane of cracks.
