FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a pneumatic hammer. Hammer comprises a cylindrical body, a working tool retained relative to the cylindrical body, a handle with a body, a partition with an axial hole, in which a tube is fixed, annular outlet chamber with an outlet formed by said partition, a cylindrical body and a handle body, a flow prechamber formed by the handle body and the partition, and hammer, made with through axial channel for passage of said tube and separating cavity of cylindrical housing on working stroke chamber and idle stroke chamber on side of working tool. Hammer has a screw-through through slot with variable cross-section and constantly open outlets on both end faces of the striker on the side of working and idling chambers with constant communication of both chambers to each other. Through screw groove is made with decreasing cross-section area towards idling chamber.
EFFECT: as a result, reduced air flow from the network, higher efficiency of the hammer and impact energy transmitted to the working tool.
